Green Nation Acquires Amberside Management Solutions

Green Nation Energy Ltd has completed the acquisition of Amberside Management
Solutions Ltd (“AMS”), the renewable energy asset management and accounting
services business formerly owned by Amberside Energy Ltd.

July 27, 2026

The acquisition strengthens Green Nation Energy’s existing renewable energy platform and expands its capacity to provide asset management, financial management and accounting services to renewable energy and infrastructure clients across the UK.

Green Nation Energy is already an established participant in the UK renewable energy market, with the resources, experience and market reach required to support the continued growth of its operations, with a particular focus on management of ground

mounted and rooftop solar, and battery energy storage systems. The acquisition of AMS adds an experienced specialist team, established client and supplier relationships, proven systems and complementary service capabilities.

The enlarged Green Nation Energy group will be better positioned to serve larger clients and manage more extensive and complex renewable energy portfolios. It also creates a strong platform from which Green Nation can expand the provision of specialist accounting and financial management services to a broader range of renewable energy and infrastructure businesses.

All existing AMS employees will remain in their current roles. Their knowledge, experience and relationships will become an important part of Green Nation Energy’s wider operations, providing continuity for existing AMS clients, suppliers and partners.

Green Nation Energy and AMS have been working together since March 2026. There will be no immediate change to AMS’s day-to-day service delivery or existing points of contact, and clients and suppliers should continue to deal with their usual

representatives.

Helen Hardaker, Head of Asset Management for Green Nation Energy, said:

“The acquisition of AMS is an important step in the continued development of Green

Nation Energy.

“Green Nation already has an established renewable energy asset management business, and AMS broadens and strengthens our offering. Both businesses have a track record over many years of successfully bringing new sites into operation, helping

older sites sustain and improve their performance, and of providing a tailored service to fit the needs of each client. By combining the strengths of both businesses, we will have greater capacity to support larger clients, manage increasingly complex portfolios and

provide new services across the renewable energy and infrastructure sectors.

“AMS has an experienced team and strong client and supplier relationships. We are pleased to welcome the team into Green Nation Energy and look forward to supporting the continued development of the business as part of the wider group.”

Marc Scambler, founder and Chief Executive of Amberside Energy, said:

“AMS has developed into a trusted asset management and accounting services business, with a strong team and a clear focus on operational standards, effective systems and customer service.

“Green Nation Energy has the scale, resources and market presence to integrate AMS into a broader renewable energy platform and support the next stage of its development.

“As renewable energy portfolios become larger and more complex, clients increasingly require scalable operational support, reliable financial information and strong portfolio oversight. The combination of Green Nation Energy and AMS is well placed to meet those requirements.

“David Scrivens, Amberside Energy’s co-founder and Chief Financial Officer, and I will remain supportive of the business as new relationships and opportunities arise.”

Amberside Energy has sold its development business to Elgin

Elgin has purchased Amberside Energy (Development) Ltd from Amberside Energy Ltd which includes a pipeline of over 1GW of solar and battery assets.

January 20, 2025

Under the terms of the Agreement, Elgin, has acquired 100% of the share capital of Amberside Energy (Development) Ltd.

This acquisition has significant synergies that should accelerate the delivery of new renewable energy assets in the UK, providing predictable and affordable power at a competitive cost and decarbonizing energy production.

Amberside Energy’s remaining business continues to provide software solutions to developers and asset management services.

“This is a great strategic acquisition to grow our pipeline across the UK” says Ronan Kilduff, CEO of Elgin.

"This strategic sale allows Amberside Energy to sharpen its focus on our core competencies—creating advanced software and data analytics solutions for project development and operational asset management. By doing so, we can extend our reach and deliver these solutions to a broader market beyond our internal operations," said Marc Scambler, Co-Founder and CEO of Amberside Energy.
